Reflections on Travel and Tour Management

Traveling by train often adds to the adventure, yet our journey to Shoranur highlighted several areas for improvement that could significantly enhance the overall experience. Our train faced delays both on the way to Shoranur and during our return, underscoring the need for more reliable scheduling and better facilities at Margao and Shoranur railway stations, as well as within the trains themselves. Such improvements would contribute to making journeys more comfortable and efficient, particularly for educational trips.

Feedback from our group varied widely. Some travelers expressed disappointment regarding the high fees charged by the tour operator, feeling that the experience did not meet their expectations. Requests for partial refunds were made, as the itinerary did not fully align with the promises made and the meals provided were subpar. Conversely, others enjoyed the tour, although they also felt the pricing could have been more reasonable.

For future tours, placing a greater emphasis on delivering quality service and honoring commitments would ensure that travelers leave with positive memories. We hope for improvements in both transportation and tourism services, as these factors play a pivotal role in the overall experience. After all, memorable trips encompass not only the destinations but also the journey and the quality of service received along the way.
